Auditions

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Pennsylvania Girlchoir!

The Pennsylvania Girlchoir is seeking new members for their 2012-2013 season. A strong desire to learn about choral music, a musical ear and a willingness to create music with others would make an ideal candidate. Girls of all experience levels are welcome and encouraged to audition. Please contact our Program Manager to set up an audition.

The auditions are held at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118.

The singer does not have to prepare a song for the audition but may be asked to sing a simple song such as "Happy Birthday", sight read and do rhythm clapping. Some of the concepts being assessed are: pitch accuracy, in-tune singing, tone quality and tonal memory patterns.
